Y=4x-11

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Hey there! Welcome to OpenStudy! It looks like there should be more to your question. Would you mind posting the rest?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, this question is ambiguous. Don't know if you want help on graphing, finding the x or y intercept...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Y=2x-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It says write each equation in standardform using intergers

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Do you know what standard form is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yah but i dont get how to do those

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

Ok since standard form is ax+by=c you need to get the term without a variable on one side by itself.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can you show me how to do this y=4x-11

OpenStudy (sleepyjess):

First you need to subtract 4x from both sides. Can you show me what you get after you do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got -4x+y=11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yah i got that but cn u shw me how to do tht ,,how did i get it ,,the answer is easy but the hardest was how did i get the answer

Nnesha (nnesha):

you are just moving x values on left side to write in standard form because standard form equation look like this \[Ax + Bx = C\] all variables on left side so 4x suppose to be on left side in order to write in standard form so 4x is possitve on right side you have to do OPPOSITE to move this on left side so that"s why you are subtracting 4x both side

Nnesha (nnesha):

|dw:1418101654394:dw| you have negative with 11 so thats suppose to be this and remember when you subtract 4x you cannot combine 4x and y hope you understand if you have question feel free to ask
