Mr. Thompson has been asked to add storage space to a garage. He estimates 6 square feet per individual will be required to meet the needs of 15 people. If the storage space is 5% of the total amount of space required, how much total space does Mr. Thompson have?

15 x 6 = 90 then x .05 this is where I am confused/ I am not great at numbers/ I am suppose to come up with 1,400 and 1,800 but I can never get it

90 is 5% of the total space

is means = x percent = x/100

OpenStudy (danjs):

so 90 = (5/100) * Total

OpenStudy (danjs):

90 is 5% of the total of means multiply

when I do that I come up with 45000 I will have to wait and ask my teacher cause I am not figurng baasic math which iis sad :( but thank you
