OpenStudy (anonymous):

What type of number can be written as a fraction p/q, where p and q are integers and q is not equal to zero? A. An irrational number B. A rational number C. All numbers can be written in this way

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

Any ideas?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's not A since an irrational number cannot be written as a quotient of 2 integers. It's not C since irrational numbers are numbers and cannot be written that way so it must be B.

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

what does the word "ratio" mean to you?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol no....im am literally the worst at math. I'm in apex, its an online math class for algebra 2

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

we begin with the integers and then we make ratios out of them and we call those ratios rational numbers :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is all Japanese to me lol and alright thanx

OpenStudy (skullpatrol):

thanks for asking, math is the language of physics

OpenStudy (anonymous):

o yea i know that. i respect what math does and how important it is but I just don't see why we have to learn 4 maths when im not going into a job for math or science.
