Why is the Calvin cycle considered a dark reaction?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

t occurs only at night. It requires an absence of light. It turns the plant dark green. It can proceed in the dark.

It's named dark reaction since it don't need light by itself , light doesn't exist in the cycle in need CO2 from air , but actually it need light indirectly to be able to continue since light-dependent cycle produce products that are used by the dark reactions like NADH+ and so the dark reactions can't continue without these products that mean it can't continue without light.
