In his inaugural address on March 4, 1845 James K. Polk said, “The world has nothing to fear from military ambition in our Government.” In what ways did Polk’s presidency reflect this statement? In what ways did it not reflect this statement? Explain your answer in a well-constructed response that includes specific details in support of your position.

So based on the fact that yhu think he was a good president, how do yhu think what he said relates with yhur position. and what ways did it not, meaning... If yhu thought he was a good president, how does this statement not show those qualities? Do yhu understand that? .-. Haha, if not I'll explain it better.

I think polk's statement about his goverments military ambition was a lie.On july 4th president polk ordered thousands of us soilders to cross the nueces river in case of a mexican attack. By doing that he totally did the complete oppisite of his statement about his countrys military ambition. though no legal settlement had been reached about the territory. there was a small skirmish. 12 american soilders died.

so therefore I change my position he was a bad president.
