i need some help on german telling time and stuff

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@aishanuwang For the time telling quiz i need to listen to some audio and put the correct number in and i don't know how to write 9:45

OpenStudy (vincent-lyon.fr):

It might be 21.45

OpenStudy (aishanuwang):

You can say: "Es ist neun Uhr fünfundvierzig." (It is 9:45) You can also say "Es ist Viertel vor zehn Uhr." (It is a quarter before 10.) And, slightly differently, "Es ist fünfundvierzig vor zehn Uhr" (It is forty-five minutes before ten o'clock"

OpenStudy (aishanuwang):

@sWeetesttea sorry for the late response btw! :/

OpenStudy (aishanuwang):

*Oops! Correction from above: That last phrase should be "It is FIFTEEN minutes before ten o'clock," so in German it would be "Es ist fünfzehn vor zehn Uhr."*

Oh thank you so much!!!

OpenStudy (aishanuwang):
