i'm not sure which way I'm suppose to read the graph but
if you have

Q1 is the (+,+) quadrant
Q2 is the (-,+) quadrant
Q3 is the (-,-) quadrant
Q4 is the (+,-) quadrant
any point that lays on the x axis will have form (x,0)
(if x is to the right of the origin then x is positive )
(if x is to the left of the origin then x is negative)
any point that lays on the y axis will have form (0,y)
(if y is above the origin then y is positive)
(if y is below the origin then y is negative)
