James Oglethorpe MOST LIKELY came up with idea to move English debtors to his colony in the New World because he A) needed many men to come and work on the land in his new colony. B) wanted his new colony to be made entirely of people from England. C) could not find anyone else who was willing to move to the new place. D) did not want them to suffer in the poor conditions of English prisons.
