how do you find the equation of the slant asymptote ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have to find the eq of the slant asymptote for y= 3x^2+4/(x+2) I can't find that section in my book :/

All you have to do is use long division to get a new equation, disregarding the remainder, this will be your equation. For your (dksam123) slant asymptote equation will be 3x-6
