ok guys, random question here: How much work is too much work for a student in their freshman year of hs?

I never went to high school, but my older sister was a freshmen. She claims that 9th grade is much, MUCH harder than any of the other grades, and requires a lot of time. So I guess working really hard is normal if you're in that grade.

IDK, I do online school and my teachers take it easy on me. If I were to write a paragraph it'll usually be about 5-7 sentences and I don't have to work my hardest to get 100%

My English assignments:
20AR points in 5wks (ar points are points received when you take a computer test on a book you read) I'm reading Little Women.
three typed and written chapter summaries on the hobbit (we've had about 3 wks)
Written and typed vocabulary in dictionary format (17 words, again about 3 weeks)
Written and typed character identities. I believe there's 6
3 written and typed origins of certain folklore
today our teacher requested an illustration of a character (sorta fun I guess)
like I've said 3-3 1/2 weeks for this
