Every subject in OS should have a student of the week meaning whoever helps the most OS studiers in each of the subjects gets a boost in there smartscore. What doe's everyone think about this idea?

Having the student of the week is a good idea, BUT boosting their smartscores... I don't think it will work. As sleepyjess said, it will only lead to more medal parties. I have seen the same system from a different site, but they work with points not with SS. Earning smartscores requires every activity you do in OS, while from the other site, you earn points only by helping people and it also depends on the points they will put on their questions. Different factors affect your SS, so if you become the 'best' and your SS will raise everytime you become the best besides the other activities that boosts your SS, you'll easily reach satellite's SS (unless he becomes the best every week- and i think 100 is the max SS you can get).
What I am saying is, boosting points when you  become the 'best' is no problem, but it's a different story with smartscores (different factors affect your SS).

Also it would be very tough to choose. When they make a post announcing that person the user of the week, he will get a lot lot of unearned medals. Also how would we find out who should be the user? By lottery? By voting?

But the main problem is that the user of thweek will earn medals just for being the user of the week and a lot of poss will just pop up congratulating the user and therefore more medals...
