Suppose two ratios between the changes in variables in a table are 2/3 and 1/2. Is the function represented linear? Explain.

Miracrown (miracrown):

So maybe we should try and make a table that illustrates this

Miracrown (miracrown):

So let's call our variables x and y ^. We can assign 1,2 and 3 to be our x values, do you agree? just for simplicity

Miracrown (miracrown):

Before we try and fill in the y values. let's try and discuss what they mean by this statement. Ratios between the changes in variables, ratio means division. So we would divide the change in one variable by the change in the other variable
