"Active voice describes a sentence where the subject performs the action stated by the verb.  In passive voice sentences, the subject is acted upon by the verb." It's not my own words, but it's what I wanted to say. Does it make sense?

it is passive because passive voice means the action comes before the noun. So the sports equipment WAS Featured. 
active voice would be the center aisle  featured the sports equipment. 
do you see the difference
