An irrational number is a number that keeps going on forever and never stops, but isn't a repeating decimal, because it uses different numbers, like 5.47389791872038947891234789... and so on.

For the irrational number between 5.2 and 5.5, square 5 to get 25. Then, move up a bit to, say 28 and take its square root to see if it falls between 5.2 and 5.5. Just type square root of 28 in the Google search box and the Google calculator will pop up with an approximation. @KraziiKai
