Shawn wants to use an elevator to carry identical packages having the same weight. Each package weighs 5 pounds and Shawn weighs 100 pounds. If the elevator can carry a maximum of 340 pounds at a time, which inequality shows the maximum number of packages, n, that Shawn can carry with himself in the elevator if he is the only passenger? n ≥ 48 n ≤ 235 n ≤ 48 n ≥ 235 @Princer_Jones

n ≤ 48

Here is the solution Let the maximum number of packages be n Then total weight of packages=5npounds ,by question His weight =100pounds since the elevator can carry maximum of 340pounds we have 5n+100<=340 this implies 5n<=240 this implies n<=48
