PLEASE HELP ME
@SolomonZelman
I'd go with B
-8y=-4x+8 so time (-) then /8 so we have: y=1/2x -1 so slop=1/2
solp we got -1/2 so according to y-y0=m(x-x0) we have: y-2=-1/2(x-1)
slope intercept form is y = mx + b 4x - 8y = 8 --- subtract 4x from both sides -8y = -4x + 8 -- divide by -8 y = 1/2x - 1 <=== slope intercept form In y = mx + b form, the slope is in the m position and the y intercept is in the b position. y = mx + b y = 1/2x - 1 so the slope(m) = 1/2 and the y int (b) = -1 Point slope form : y - y1 = m(x - x1) the slope of the equation above was 1/2, however we are dealing with a perpendicular line. So we need the negative reciprocal slope. All that means is " flip " the slope and change the sign. So the negative reciprocal of 1/2 is -2. y - y1 = m(x - x1) slope(m) = -2 (1,2)...x1 = 1 and y1 = 2 now we sub y - 2 = -2(x - 1) <=== point slope form
@texaschic101
thats it...you got it
