PLEASE HELP! when heat is added to each of the following, how dose the volume, temp, internal energy, and kinetic energy change? a.solid-___________________________________ b.liquid-__________________________________ c.gas-____________________________________
If temperature changes, internal energy changes. And only liquids and gasses can change volume, solids do not. Now taking all that into account it means that if you add heat to: a) the temp and internal energy will rise but the volume will not change b) the temp and internal energy will rise but volume will change extremely little c) volume will increase, internal energy and temperature will increase i'm not sure what they mean by kinetic energy... like kinetic energy of every molecule or of the whole material?
the whole material, but thank you so much that was really helpful!!
