Last question for tonight... Can you simplify the radical expression by rationalizing the denominator?

No, I don't think you can. When simplifying a radical expression, you have to get rid of the number outside of the radical sign (sorry I don't know what it's called) and when you do this you can simplify that to find the solution to your equation
