HELP PLEASE MEDAL AND FAN!!! :'( "You are not of the masons." "Yes, yes," I said; "yes, yes." "You? Impossible! A mason?" "A mason," I replied. "A sign," he said, "a sign." "It is this," I answered, producing from beneath the folds of my roquelaire a trowel. "You jest," he exclaimed, recoiling a few paces. "But let us proceed to the Amontillado." "Be it so," I said, replacing the tool beneath the cloak and again offering him my arm.

Who is the narrator of the passage?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its from "The Cask of Amontillado" And Im so confused :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a first person story yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup. I just looked it up and Amontillado is the narrator. So, which do you think is right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not sure :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im guessing its either A or B but I'm not positive

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, if Fortunato says "You? Impossible! A mason?", that would seem to point to his not believing that Montresor is a mason. So it would be C, I think.
