OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Isn't square supposed to mean 100x100? and square root means what number by itself equals to 100? i am not too sure by what you are saying @zzr0ck3r

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

I thought it said square root

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Yes that was what I was confused on by the way that you were saying it.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

lol

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

and rational number squared is a rational number

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

@Sally16a If you square 100, you are basically multiplying 100 by itself (100x100). The product will be equal to 10000, and this is rational because you can write it as a fraction. Irrational numbers, like pi or infinity, can't be written as fractions, therefore, they are irrational.

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

not just fractions but ratios of integers
