In the passage you just read, Juliet states, “what’s in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet?” Write an essay discussing this claim, defending or opposing the idea whether names matter in defining a person’s character. so far i only have one reason of why i think name doesnt define a person's character. help please. will give medal

I would say, based on the rose topic, if you called a rose a pineapple, it is still a rose, and it will still smell like a rose. You can take a person and call them something other than what they are, but they are still that person. Labels aren't defining who a person is, let alone what they are like. You'll need some more ideas for the essay but here is a start :) Good luck
