MEDAL and FAN! Please HELP! Completely lost on this question! Suppose that the number of bacteria in a certain population increases according to a continuous exponential growth model. A sample of 1900 bacteria selected from this population reached the size of 2116 bacteria in five hours. Find the hourly growth rate parameter.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

so the model is \[A = P \times e^{kt}\] A is the future population, P is the initial population, k is the growth contant and t is the time in hours. is that what you are using..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So set it up as 2116=1900*e^k*5 and solve for k?
