OpenStudy (askme12345):

Angular frequency

OpenStudy (askme12345):

can someone explain the second step of obtaining the angular frequentcy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a standard equation. do u want to know how to derive it?

OpenStudy (askme12345):

yes

OpenStudy (askme12345):

which numbers to plug in @physo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the derivation, you start with the sum formula, a=-xw^2, where w=omega=2pif=angular velocity. so, you'll have w=(a/x)^0.5. Since a=kx/m for springs, you substitute that in the equation and you end up with that formula

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what to plug in? well, you just have to put 2 for T

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry for the typo, i meant SHM and not "sum formula"
