OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (camper4834):

do you still need help?

OpenStudy (mendicant_bias):

@kewlkatcutie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

YES

OpenStudy (camper4834):

okay we are going to use algebra

OpenStudy (camper4834):

so with our (-1,-2) and (3,10) we are going to plug those numbers into x and y

OpenStudy (camper4834):

so lets start with the first ( )

OpenStudy (camper4834):

-2 + \(\underline{~~~}\) = \(\underline{~~~}\)(-1+1)

OpenStudy (camper4834):

@kewlkatcutie ?

OpenStudy (bradely):

y-(-2) =(10+2)/(3+1)(x +1) y+2=(12/4)(x +1) y+2=3(x +1) Source: http://www.mathskey.com/question2answer/

OpenStudy (camper4834):

interesting. that is the answer but im not quite sure why you started the way you did

OpenStudy (camper4834):

hmm i think i understand yes.. i went a different route but i suppose that works too \[y-(\color{red}{-2})=\frac{\color{blue}{10}-(\color{red}{-2})}{\color{orange}{3}-(\color{turquoise}{-1})} (x-(\color{turquoise}{ -1 } ))\]
