if g(-5)=3 and g is a one-to-one function, what is g^-1(3)?

OpenStudy (camper4834):

-5

OpenStudy (camper4834):

well let me explain the point of the question

OpenStudy (camper4834):

OpenStudy (camper4834):

in my graph i made an equation where f(-5)=3

OpenStudy (camper4834):

the problem is that my graph is not one to one

OpenStudy (camper4834):

so why is that a problem? well lets take the inverse. the inverse means I give you a Y value, and you have to look for all of the X values that go with it

OpenStudy (camper4834):

so if i ask for 3 lets take a look at what happens
