OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the slope of a line parallel to the line with equation 5x – y = 11?

OpenStudy (igreen):

First change it into slope-intercept form. 5x - y = 11 Subtract 5x to both sides: -y = -5x + 11 Multiply -1 to all terms: \(y = 5x - 11\) So the slope is 5. So what's the slope of a line that's parallel to this one? @kpopaigoo

OpenStudy (yamyam70):

Hint: Parallel slopes are equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol 5 :) thx

OpenStudy (igreen):

No problem :)
