Moderators can't do whatever they want. They are accountable to site owners or Admins. They need to provide reason and evidence for every single action they take. If they are caught abusing the power they can loose their post.

Well, if it was just Gmod, then I mean, nobody here can really help with that. Whoever this moderator was in the game can, and probably will be reported if it really was for no reason. Remember, moderators are people too, so I mean, they can potentially get power crazy too :P
