Can someone please answer this? I will give medals Jacob sells homemade skateboard decks for a profit of $27 per deck. He is considering switching to a new type of material that will increase his profit, as expressed by the function y = 32x, where x is the number sold and y is the amount of the profit. How many more dollars will Jacob earn on each skate board deck if he switches to the new material? Explain how you found your answer.

so currently, he makes $27 per deck. if he switches, he'll make $32 per deck. all you have to do is 32 - 27 to get your answer

Currently he makes $27 profit for 1 unit. If you find how much profit he will make with 1 unit at the new price, then you can subtract the amounts. To find how much profit he can make on 1 unit with the new material, use the function y = 32x, and let x = 1, since x is the number of units made. For x = 1, y = 32(1) = 32 The profit on one unit with the new material is $32. The difference in profit is: $32 - $27 = $5
