please help

OpenStudy (amistre64):

we have 2 points of reference, can we assume a linear model?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

in 4 years it grew (368-180) cm if its a linear model, then we can assume in 1 year it grew (368-180)/4 cm after 7 years, it grew for 3 more years .... add up the growth spurts

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if we know how far the tree grows in 1 year, then we simply add 3 years to the 7year height.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

how far did it grow in 4 years? from 180 to 368 divide the difference by 4 to get how far it grows in 1 year.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

we know how tall it is at 7 years" 7 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 10, so all we do is add up the growth spurts for 3 years and add it to the height of the tree in its 7th year
