Indicate the equation of the line through (2, -4) and having slope of 3/5. ( Please show me how you got this answer )

OpenStudy (redheadangel):

First draw a graph

OpenStudy (redheadangel):

then find your Y-intercept: -4

OpenStudy (redheadangel):

so on the graph go down 4 spaces and make a dot

OpenStudy (redheadangel):

then find the slope: 3/5

OpenStudy (redheadangel):

So from your dot go up 3 spaces, and then 5 spaces the right

OpenStudy (redheadangel):

then repeat that step: 3 spaces up, 5 to the right

OpenStudy (redheadangel):

until you have enough dots to connect them into one straight line

OpenStudy (redheadangel):

Your equation will be Y= 2/3x-4! Hope that helped :)

Yes Thanks you soooo much !
