an active sentence is happening now and a passive sentence is in the pass. all you have to do is had a past tense helping verb or a past tense ending.
Make it so the subject of the verb has the action performed upon them, instead of performing the action. Example active sentence: "The students took the exam." Now to make it passive: "The exam was taken by the students."
My teacher always has me do stuff in class working on it, but I just can't put my finger on it. She will ask me to change it from active to passive,or passive to active, and I can't seem to do it right!
