Ok, so I was hoping you could read a paragraph that I wrote for my essay, and tell me what transition words I used
Sure. ^_^
Yay! Thank you! Here it is:
One prominent issue face in the novel, Of Mice and Men, was the fight towards poverty. All of the characters had to work on a ranch due to the fact that they were living in a period of depression. As stated by Melissa Boteach, “Our national poverty rate fell 42 percent during the War on Poverty, from 1964 to 1973. And that trend continues today: The poverty rate fell from 26 percent in 1967 to 16 percent in 2012 when safety net programs are taken into account.” In the novel, Of Mice and Men, most everyone is dealing with some degree of poverty, which causes them to stay on the ranch. During the time of the novel, which happened to be the 1930’s, America was in large amounts of poverty, but in America today, the level of poverty has decreased significantly. Another problem highlighted in this novel would be lack of health care. In the beginning of Of Mice and Men, it is revealed to the reader, that one of the main characters, Lennie, has a mental disability. In this novel, Lennie seems to be much more aggressive than those around him, but because of his disabilities, he seems completely oblivious of his aggression. Because of this, Lennie accidentally murders his boss’ wife, causing his care-taker, George, to have no other choice but murder him. In the 1930’s, there was no way for those with mental disabilities to seek medical attention. Though lack of care for those with mental disabilities may seem like a past occurrence, many people still aren’t able to receive the help they need, as stated in the article, Health Laws in Africa, “In the African region, 64% of countries lack mental health legislation or have legislation that is outdated and fails to adequately promote the rights of people with mental disabilities.”
"One", "All", "As", "fell", "are", "decreased", "Another", "beginning", and "still". There may be more, but these are the main ones I could identify.
