When I came to US, I started going to Middle school. I was a 12 year old teen.
I was bullied all the time for my accent, but now, I have many good friends, and I am a trilingual.

Quick enjoyable actually. I was never one that felt I needed to fit in, so when I was teased, although at times it was hurtful, I truly didn't believe the teasers.

Very quiet, actually. I was ignored by most of the other kids. I wasn't really bullied but I didn't really have friends either. So I just concentrated on schoolwork and reading, and I enjoyed school because of that. I was extremely quiet, socially awkward, and got near-perfect grades, so that's why the other kids kinda ignored me. XD

Also, I didn't really know anyone at the school, and most of the other kids already had tons of friends that they already knew.

My best advice is to be confident and take chances.

To make friends in 7th grade:
1) participate in their games
2) be good at as many things as you can.
and be like a person to look on (in their minds).

but, I don't think that real friends can be actually formed in 7th grade. Not everyone, and esp at such a small age, understands what a friendship actually is, or at least what it should be.

Like I can comfortably say that I have real friends, but this is a very small minority of the people whom I am friends with.
