Linear Algebra 19 Online
OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the solution to the given system? -4x + 2y = -11 and -2x + 2y = -15 Can someone help me with this please? I don't want someone to tell me the answer just how to work this. I don't know if I am supposed to substitute or eliminate.

OpenStudy (p0sitr0n):

either method will work, but some are faster here you should go by substraction, since y's have the same coefficients so subtract eq1 from eq2 2x=-4 x=-2 now replace it into either equation 4+2y=-15 y=-19/2

Okay thank you P0sitr0n I got the answer now. Thanks so much
