I was wondering if this is a valid way to find differences in numbers as percents. Say the numbers are 2034 and 3091

Minus 3091 by 2034, which equals X. Multiply 2034 by x.xxx (percent) to get the difference answer/to get near it to find the real answer.

It isn't a question in a test. It's just a question if thats the correct way to get the answer as that is how I got my answers.

It is a math question in general. Jesus, is it hard to get an answer on how to do a math equation/answer? Isn't that what this site is for? all I needed was a Yes or No answer.
