What is a function of cell division? A) to turn skin cells into hair cells B) to keep cell size small as multicellular organisms grow C) to allow cell size to increase to its maximum D) to allow mature leaves to increase in size

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Hey there! What do you think it should be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar hmm since cell division is growth and repair i was thinking A or B but not sure

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Cell division is a process by which a cell produces more like itself. Optio A is wrong because it says that skin cells will divide to form hair cells. That is not possible. Option C is wrong because cell division actually reduces the size of parent cell. As you urself said cell division is related with growth, what do u think about option D?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar hmm is it wrong since it allow mature to leave?

OpenStudy (abhisar):

Ys i think option D is correct.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Abhisar i thought it would be B because it let the organisms grow. Thank you for your help
