Are the underlined words in the sentence an independent clause, a subordinate clause, or neither? We decided to play basketball "after our picnic in the park". A. neither B. subordinate clause C. independent clause

OpenStudy (superflytyguy):

Again, subordinate. "After our picnic in the park" is an incomplete thought and can't stand alone in a sentence, therefore it's subordinate. We decided to play basketball. That's a full sentence, so it's an independent clause.
