do you known no one reads the rules someitmes
If you see someone that you know has perhaps not read the rules, please kindly suggest to them to read them :)
for example: Hello and Welcome to OpenStudy! :) You seem new here and more than willing to help which is mighty fine since we need all the help we can get :) but you might want to take some time and read this site's code of conduct! http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct This site has a policy for "Give Help, Not Answers" violations of such policies could potentially result in an account suspension or ban. It's great to see another helper among us, so it would be sad if you got in trouble for giving out answers. Hope you'll have a nice time here on OpenStudy, and I'll see ya around :) Have a Nice Day!
okay:)
Sometimes? Try lots of times.... and yes, that is one of the things Ambassadors try and do. Get people to understand the rules.
I think any true adherent should true to nicely make people keep the rules. Gently making them not only like the site more and more, but also use it just as it need to be. I message if I see someone violating rules, with a presumption not that they don't care about the rules, but that they just don't know the rules and would they know they would surely not do "such a thing".... (or something along these lines. just trying to be as nice as possible...... does not mean that if we are sure that someone is violating on purpose, that (s)he shouldn't be reported. (I always thought though, that this section is only for ambassadors or moderators.)
@SolomonZelman naaa it's for anyone with questions about ambassadors & and what they do ^_^
yes, I figured once I saw non-ambassadors (excuse me for this word) reply and be active in this section:)
When you sign up for OS; you agree to the terms and CoC.
what they mean is that people don't really read them... @Compassionate and it's true :P
it is not force for people to read the rules but they should read it for there own good
Sadly, people do not see the good in these things. They think it is a huge, stuffy list. In truth, it is three lines of rules and a page and a half of guidelines to support those three rules.
and then they get in trouble a say what did do they you say did you read the rules
@micahm your right when people get caught they say what did i do :')
Now, if those three rules were part of the signup process with a check box for each... \(\large\square\) I agree to: Be Nice - I will stay positive, be friendly, and not mean \(\large\square\) I agree to: Give Help, Not Answers - I will encourage and guide those needing help, and not just give them an answer \(\large\square\) I agree to: Thank Others for Their Help - I will thank people for taking the time and effort to help me And can't sign up without checking them...
i agree
