Suggestion to solve mass tagging.


I think that there should be a limit to the amount of people that are able to access a question at a time. That way, people will not be able to mass tag and get everyone to come to one question.

Only the moderators would be able to go in after the room is full. That way, in case there is a problem, they can get in and help.

Also, it can help fill a question so that people who intended on just giving out answers and leaving would not get a chance to as the real helpers race to the asker's rescue. Lol.

Also, but leaving the limit at 3-5 people, one troll will not be able to take up the space, but there will still be 2 more witnesses that see that troll being a bad user.

What if the people don't know the answer that are on the question, and someone who knows the answer can't get in because it is full? And what if people just stay there forever?

If that person does that, all you have to do is let a moderator l know so that they get kicked out of the question, or not even that. You could just message them and ask politely. ^.^ If they do not comply, then you fetch a mod to teach 'em a lesson.

What if the entire post was already full of cheaters and spammers, and someone that actually wanted to help couldn't get in?

Maybe we could have a user limit as an option on posts? Like, when you ask the question, there can be a check box or something so you can indicate how many users you want on that one post at a time

If they're new and don't know how, maybe the very first time they come to OS, before actually going into the site, they take a tutorial and work it out and see what its like and how to do things. But thats a different subject.

What if the asker is a newbie, and it's his/her first question and users are just spamming and the user doesnt know how to report or pm a mod?

i don't think i like the idea of having a limit to how many people can view a question. i think we should just limit the amount of tags someone can post in a question. like 5 tags max. i kind of like the idea of having private rooms, though. like the only people who can view the question is the 5 people you tag, plus mods

Thats a great idea. That way, people that you know will not give you a good answer wont be able to access it.
