Help with quick question. Medal to best answer. When nitrogen gas reacts with hydrogen gas to form ammonia, what is the coefficient on hydrogen in the balanced equation? 3 none 4 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Balancing chemical equations is rough. N2+H2 +NH3 What coefficient would make there the same number of nitrogen on both sides? 2. So on the right side =2NH3 That also makes 6 hydrogen and 6 divided by the subscript on the left is 3. So the balance formula is N2+3H2 = 2NH3
