Who is really good at Geometry? NEED HELP!

OpenStudy (briensmarandache):

i can try, whats up?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Quadratic Functions...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simplify the expression below. (3f - 2g) - (18g + 11f)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?? could you take out the parenthesis's, haven't done geometry in 2 years

OpenStudy (anonymous):

These are the possible answers... -20g - 8f -20g + 14f -15g - 13f 1fg - 29gf

OpenStudy (briensmarandache):

distribute the negative, take away the parenthesis and combine like terms. that all i see

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its the distrubitive property

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think the first then by what @briensmarandache ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Math is my worst subject. Its really hard for me to understand this stuff.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, im great at math so i would say the first answer is correct

OpenStudy (briensmarandache):

sorry, yeah thats what i would say,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

everyone has a bad subject. mine's english

OpenStudy (anonymous):

practice makes perfect

OpenStudy (briensmarandache):

hahaha mine to!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simplify the expression below. -3(10x + 4y) + 6(6x - 2y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-30x-12y + 36x-12y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im alright at english. I like history and science but its kinda hard

OpenStudy (anonymous):

shuld be easy to solve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-18x2y2 6x - 24y 6x2 - 24y2 6x + 2y I think its B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its up there ^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i now but what what is it asking for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you cant simplify without a common factor. e.g. 7x^2y^2 -5x^2y^2=2x^2y^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im so confused.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@darsheva

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simplify the expression below. -3(10x + 4y) + 6(6x - 2y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nothing else ut 6x, y's cancel each other out

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-3 * 10 -3 * 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-18x2y2 6x - 24y 6x2 - 24y2 6x + 2y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

6*6 6*2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think its B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then do the rest, which i think you can do by yourself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Next question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its neither, the y's cancel, and the\[-18x^2y^2\] theres no simplifying that except -18xy(xy)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I really need help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and im telling you the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to the -18x^2y^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is there a none of the above answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay. next question If f(x) = x2, which of the following describes the graph of f(x) + 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope. just those 4.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

parabola with the grpah raised up 4 unites.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you have to ask the teacher thaqt the answer isn't there.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks i got a lot more tho...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There are a lot more questions.
