Describe farming in ancient Greece—the difficulties, major crops, and livestock.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There was barely any farming in ancient greece, most farms were small and unable to sustain more thane a couple people

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That is the reason why they colonized in italy and other places, so that they could farm those lands

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and.. I am confused. I learned this but it is confusing

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The difficulties: none of the land was good because they lived ion a mountainous rocky area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh so they had a rocky area wich made for bad farming

OpenStudy (anonymous):

major crops were wheat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but the biggest crop is barley

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the livestock was mostly goats and sheep, and yes it was hard to farm because of the rocky soil

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh cool

ancient Greek farming is boring and mostly un-important though
