Alright I need help, I don't want a direct answer, but if you want to give me one, fine, but at least explain how you got the answer! A quality control inspector is in charge of inspecting drill bits that are produced on an assembly line. The diameter of a drill bit can be modeled by the equation |x − 0.525| = 0.01. Show your work in solving the equation to determine the minimum and maximum diameters of the drill bits.
the vertical lines around x - 0.525 means the absolute value . So you take the positive value even though x-0.525 is negative.
so we form 2 equations x - 0.525 = 0.01 and x - 0.525 = -0.01 can you solve these ?
So if I'm correct, the first one is x = .535 and the second is x = .515?
the 2 values you get will be the minimum and maximum values you want.
yes
Wow, that easy huh? Never would have thought, thank you! (And also congrats on somehow getting so many medals that you can get that title O_O)
