If a closed figure has three line segments joined end to end, it is a triangle. If one angle of a triangle measures 90°, it is a right triangle. Matt constructed a triangle with one angle measuring 90° in the geometry class. Based on the given statements, which is a valid argument? @KamiBug
What are the arguments? :)
Give me a sec.
if its a closed figure and only one side is 90degrees then yes he has drawn a right triangle
Answer Choices: A. It can be concluded that Matt drew a closed four-sided figure B. It cannot be concluded that Matt drew a closed figure having three line segments joined end to end. C. It cannot be concluded that Matt drew a triangle with sum of all three angles measuring 180 D. It can be concluded that Matt drew a right triangle
?
We know it is not A b/c a triangle has 3 sides. It is not B b/c a triangle is a close figure. It is not C b/c all triangles' angles sum up to 180 degrees. --> We know it is D b/c a right triangle has a 90 degrees angle. :)

Okay thanks. do you agree? @briensmarandache
the previous statement says the definition of a triangle and a right triangle. so if the statement to follow uses the word triangle you know its a closed figure with connecting ends. and if i has a right angle in it, its a right triangle. so right off the bat, you know its a right triangle
yes i do
Thanks
