Use ΔABC and ΔEDF shown below to answer the question that follows:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Given that ∠B ≅ ∠D and ∠C ≅ ∠F, prove that ΔABC is similar to ΔEDF.

OpenStudy (danjs):

2 angles are equal, the third angle will be equal both triangles will have the same angle measurements

OpenStudy (danjs):

Is there an Angle Angle similarity postulate? i forget

OpenStudy (danjs):

if two angles are the same for both triangles then the triangles are similar.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so that is what i should use? in my own words obviously, but would this help? https://ms-schmitz-geometry-honors.wikispaces.com/file/view/two%20column%20proof.gif/456278752/two%20column%20proof.gif

@DanJS

OpenStudy (danjs):

well that is for congruent triangles, there are more strict things for that, we are speaking of similar triangles here

OpenStudy (danjs):

and i googled it, there is an Angle-Angle similarity postulate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay, so what should i write its a pretest so it doesn't really mater too much if i get it wrong.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@DanJS

OpenStudy (danjs):

just 3 lines, the 2 givens and Angle-angle postulate something like - if two pairs of corresponding angles are congruent , then the triangles are similar

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok cool thx :)
