Hey, treat it as if it were a normal equation, with just a little more rules, such as when you multiply or divide in an inequality the sign flips. So collect like terms, and see what you get first.
2y - 7 > 8y + 9 2y - 8y > 9 + 7 -6y > 16 When dividing or multiplying by a negative number, reverse the sense of the inequality sign. Leaving that up to you.
