explain why rome has "the perfect location"
here............ ome might as well have been West Virginia during the Etruscan era, but the town became important when they build a road and a bridge over the River Tiber. They were able to do that because Rome as a gravel pit and a center of cement making. The Romans conquered the whole Mediterranean world and hauled their marble and stone temples and buildings back to Rome. Almost all other buildings in Rome have since perished because they were made of Roman concrete which is much less durable than stone work. Roman cement gave us the Roman aqueducts (water-courses) and the Roman (gravel) roads. Concrete and gravel are the reasons Rome's location was important to their history.
