Choose the correct answer. Yves bought 420 tropical fish for a museum display. He bought 6 times as many parrotfish as angelfish. How many of each type of fish did he buy? Which is a system of equations to model the problem if x represents the number of angelfish Yves bought and y represents the number of parrotfish he bought?

Let the no, of angelfishes be x Then acc to question no. of parrotfish = 6*x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Total no. of fishes = 420 ( no. of parrotfishes = no. of angelfishes) Hence, replacing, 6x + x = 420

OpenStudy (anonymous):

On solving x = 60 ( angelfish) And parrotfish = 6x = 6*60 = 360

so they answer is what?
