an exponential function has to basically increase or decrease very fast.
The only two function that do this are g(x), and k(x).

same type question means same process different numbers exponential function basically means the difference in the y value is not changing by the same amount as x changes from one number to the next consecutive number. in addition to that as stated by @rosho as well, the amount of change between the y values is a large amount an example:think of change in population for a particular town over a period of years example the square of numbers x = 1, 2, 3 ,4 corresponding y = 1, 4 9, 16
