read it.... & interpret it. what does it mean? describe the emotions the poem strikes within you-does it make u feel uneasy, or is the author uneasy?
when interpreting bring into account what makes u think it is what it is. pick out at least 3 examples to support your analysis. 
summarize it and think about what the author was so passionate about when he/she wrote it.

over all-why did the author write this poem in the first place. 
Keep in mind, that sometimes the author might use their poetic structure to covey an emotion or meaning.
